Mag. Dr. Gernot Wimmer

Dr. Gernot Wimmer (University of Vienna) focuses his scholarly work intensively on literary modernism and Austrian literary history. As co-editor of the internationally oriented Franz Kafka Yearbook (Brill) and editor of various book series (including Literary Modernism at Brill and Group2012 at Böhlau), he is closely connected with the current research landscape. In addition to numerous contributions to Kafka and World War research, he will publish the comprehensive textbook Franz Kafka: Eine kritische Einführung in Leben und Werk (co-authored with Bernd Neumann) in October 2026.
